Core Services Corporation, its affiliates and subsidiaries ("Core" or "We") are committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and information entrusted to it. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how we collect and use information, including personal information, from users and participants ("Users" or "You"), through its website as well as through offline sales and marketing activities and how You can access your personal information and control its use. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement with this Privacy Policy and any subsequent updates.

 

PRIVACY CERTIFICATIONS

To mark its commitment to privacy, Core complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce and European Commission regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information from EU member countries. Core commits to cooperate with the EU data protection authorities ("DPAs") to resolve disputes pursuant to the EU-US Privacy Shield Principles. Core is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC"). In that regard, We certify that We comply with the seven (7) EU-US Privacy Shield Framework Principles set forth by the United States Department of Commerce, in relation to Personal Information collected from European Union states.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

In general, when visiting the Core website (the "Website") or providing information through Core's offline sales and marketing activities, You have the choice of whether to provide personally identifiable information, i.e., information that identifies or could be used by, or on behalf of, Core to identify an individual ("Personal Information") through, for example, the various Core Registration links on the Website. If You do, You are prompted only for certain basic information such as your name, the organization You represent, your contact information, and anything You choose to include in the "message" text box. You will not need to disclose Personal Information such as your social security number, age, race, sex, religion, political affiliation, or home address.
Core servers do collect all visitor domain names and/or IP Addresses, though not email addresses.

Core does not market to or knowingly collect information about children. Our web servers may place a small data file (a "cookie") on your computer's hard drive solely to track statistics on and improve navigation of our Website. Cookies will not obtain your name or other Personal Information, and the information that is tracked is used only for internal Core purposes. If You object to the use of cookies, You may set your browser to reject them; however, if You choose to disable cookies in your browser, You may not be able to take full advantage of our Website features. WHO IS COLLECTING THIS INFORMATION

Core collects the information described above through its Website and through offline sales and marketing activities. In the case of third party Website features such as advertising, co-branded areas or links to other websites, such third parties may also collect information. While You are using the Website, You may be linked or directed to other third party websites outside the Website that are beyond Core's control.  Each of these third parties may have a privacy policy different from that of Core. Core is responsible for any actions or policies of third parties who act as Core's agent on Core's behalf as relates to Personal Information from EU member countries. Core is not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties who collect information from You. You should review the applicable privacy policies of any third parties before providing Personal Information to such third parties. 

 

HOW COLLECTED INFORMATION IS USED

In General. Core collects IP addresses and related information for the purposes of system administration, to assess the traffic to the Website and to maintain and improve the Website. We do not link IP addresses to your Personal Information. We can and will use IP addresses, however, to identify a User when We feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Website Terms and Conditions or to protect our service, the Website, customers or others. Core also uses cookies to analyze the traffic, such as total visitors and pages viewed on the Website, and make improvements based on the data We collect. Core never saves passwords or credit card information in cookies.

Core may also collect information, including Personal Information, as part of its offline Sales and Marketing activities.

 

REGISTRATION, ACCESS, AND OPT-OUT

Registration Information. Core does not collect Personal Information about individual Users except when such individuals specifically provide such information to us on a voluntary basis (Opt-in) through Core's registration process or via through offline sales and marketing activities. When You register at the Website or provide information through Core's offline sales and marketing activities, We ask You for a few items of Personal Information, i.e., identifying information about an individual such as a name, business name and address, email address, and phone number. Core uses registration information to learn more about how visitors use the Website, to measure areas of interest, to respond to emails, provide customer support, enforce Website Terms and Conditions, or other similar matters. Core may also use your email address to send You information about new features, events, offers and special coverage on the Website and about special offers, unless You indicate on the registration screen that You do not wish to receive this type of information (Opt-out).

Access. If your Personal Information changes, You wish to access, correct, amend, or delete information, or if You no longer desire our service, You may access, correct, update, delete or deactivate it by emailing Core at remove@coreservices.com or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.

Opt Out. Upon request, Core will allow any User to "opt out" of further promotional contacts at any time. Users can un-subscribe to any or all of the newsletters by updating their personal profile, which they can access from a link in any of the newsletters We send or by sending an email to Core at remove@coreservices.com. Additionally, upon request, Core will use reasonable efforts to allow Users to update or correct Personal Information previously submitted, which the User states is erroneous. Users will receive a response from Core within thirty (30) days of submitting their request.

Unrelated Companies. Core occasionally shares limited client information with companies We hire to provide operational, marketing, or advertising support, companies that help us distribute our products and services, or companies that provide products and services We want to offer. The companies We choose must satisfy our security and privacy requirements. We share your information with these companies only if they agree to treat it confidentially and only if it is legally permissible to do so. We limit the information We provide these companies to what We reasonably believe they "need to know" in connection with their agreement with Core and We do not permit them to use this information for any purposes outside our oversight or control. Core will not transfer, disclose, sell, distribute, or lease your Personal Information to third parties other than as described in this Policy unless Core has your permission or is required or permitted by law. Core may share such information with its affiliates as necessary to carry out the purposes for which the information was supplied or collected. Similarly, third party contractors, consultants and/or vendors engaged by Core to provide services related to its Website may have access to such Personal Information (these third parties must first agree to maintain the strict confidentiality and restrictions on use and disclosure of such information, and provide the same level of data security as provided by Core, including compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles where applicable).

Government Authorities and Litigation. Sometimes a law, court order, or other judicial or administrative process requires us to provide information to a government authority or party to a private lawsuit. We will provide the information that We in good faith believe is required to comply with the law, order, or other required process. We may also have to disclose certain information in court documents if We have to bring an action against You, for example, to collect a debt You owe us.

 

CHOICES IN THE COLLECTION, USE AND DISTRIBUTION OF INFORMATION

At the time of registration, You will be given a choice whether You want to receive information about new features, events, offers and special coverage on the Website and about special offers from Core's partners.

It is important to know that You may inadvertently provide personally identifiable information to third parties through your postings to an online forum or participation in a chat or blog session and We have no way to limit their use of the information You may provide. Please keep in mind that whenever You disclose Personal Information online (for example, in forums, message boards, chat, or blog sessions) that information can be collected and used by people You don't know. WITH WHOM THE INFORMATION MAY BE SHARED

SECURITY PROCEDURES WE USE

We are very concerned with the security of your Personal Information and take great care in providing secure transmission of your information from your computer to our servers. Core uses physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards that are designed to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while We strive to protect your Personal Information, We cannot guarantee the security of any information You transmit to us via the Website. Once We receive your information, via the Website or through Core's offline sales and marketing activities, We take appropriate steps that We believe are reasonable to protect the security of your data on our system, both internally and from outsiders, and to ensure the integrity of the data We collect. We use a combination of technological and policy methods to protect this data. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and any account information. Please be aware that Core will never ask You for your password in an unsolicited phone call or email.

 

PRIVACY SHIELD AND CROSS BORDER TRANSFER

Core complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personal Information transferred from the European Union to the United States. Core is responsible for ensuring that any third party acting as an agent on our behalf does the same. Core is responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if any third party agent acting on its behalf processes Personal Information in a way that is inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, unless Core is able to prove that it is not responsible for the event that gave rise to the damage.

If there is any conflict between the terms of this Policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles will govern.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

We strongly encourage You to contact us if You have any complaints regarding our compliance with this Policy or if You have any general privacy related complaints. We will investigate and attempt to resolve any such complaint and/or dispute regarding the use and/or disclosure of personal information in accordance with this Policy. For any complaint that cannot be resolved with Core directly and relates to Personal Information from EU member countries, Core has chosen to cooperate with EU DPA and comply with the information and advice provided to it by an informal panel of DPAs in relation to such unresolved complaints (as further described in the Privacy Shield Principles). Please contact us to be directed to the relevant DPA contacts. As further explained in the Privacy Shield Principles, in certain circumstances, binding arbitration option may also be made available to You in order to address residual complaints not resolved by any other means. Core is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. FTC as relates to Personal Information from EU member countries.

 

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13 YEARS

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), Core will not knowingly collect or accept personally identifiable information from a child under the age of 13 without a parent or guardian's prior consent. Core will also allow the parent or guardian of a registered User under the age of 13 to review, update, change, delete or refuse to permit further collection of any and all information collected by the Website. A child's personally identifiable information will be treated with the same care and respect as an adult's information. OTHER CORE PRIVACY POLICIES

Core complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personal Information received from the member countries of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) to the United States. Some types of personally identifiable information, provided offline or online, may be subject to additional privacy-related requirements and policies, which may be consistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, Core's contracts with its clients, and/or other applicable laws and regulations. For example:

  • On a subscription basis, Core clients may contract for services enabled for special compliance with other privacy or export laws. Such compliance requirements will be described in, and subject to, the specific agreement executed by Core and a client, and may be governed by other applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Core's Services Privacy Policy addresses client data and other client information contained in Core, client or third party systems, e.g., Services Data as defined by Core's Services Privacy Policy, to which We may be provided access in order to perform various services.
  • Core's human resources policies address Personal Information that We collect as part of recruitment and as relate to Core's human resources practices.

ENFORCEMENT

Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel.

 

CHANGES IN THESE TERMS

We may change this Policy from time to time and will post notices on the Website at the time of any material changes to this Policy. Please refer to the bottom of this Policy, which indicates the date that it was most recently amended. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of changes to these terms will mean You accept those changes.
